Favorite stop of the year was the 40 Acre Rock Heritage Preserve. When I figure out how to upload a picture I will. The walk from the parking lot was probably less distance than if seemed, but in motorcycle gear it was a hike. I had three separate incidents of coming across snakes on the walk in, but didn’t see any afterwards. It was definitely worth the walk and the snakes to see the Preserves.

40 Acre Rock was amazing indeed – we picked a rather hot day to visit, that made it somewhat less fun but the walk was worth the view.

I’m not much of a hiker, so I didn’t make it to wherever the rocks were. I did enjoy the parking area though 🙂

Still regret not being able to go in and eat. I’ve always been meaning to stop at this place when riding by it. Another time.

@jd_darden

We enjoyed some coke floats from the ice cream place right across the street.  The servers there didn’t like it much since I made a mess with mine; hadn’t had a float in so long, I forgot how much they froth up… A sticky mess was the result.  For those that haven’t been, South of the Border is a must – a kitschy gem! {pear}:exhausted:
